Water-wise Cottage Gardening

The English Cottage Garden is one of the most beloved landscape styles. Unfortunately Utah’s dry climate isn’t anything like rainy England, meaning that a cottage garden requires a lot of extra water. Enjoy the overflowing flower beds and rich colors that define this style without the extra water needs!

Four Seasons Design Class

Don’t ever let your yard be dull with our class on designing a four-season garden to help you learn how to make your garden a showstopper, spring, summer, fall, or winter!

In this class you will learn about the different characteristics of plants that create interest in the garden and some of the best plants to use.

Haunted Fairy Gardens Glass

Fairy Gardens are designed to attract fairies! While we can’t promise they will come, we will show you exactly how to arrange small plants, trinkets, and miniatures to create a little bit of magic for your porch or patio. And this time with a spooky twist.

Course Fee $35: covers ALL the materials: plants, soil, decorative rocks, and pots!

JayDee Gunnell is a USU Extension Professor of Horticulture and Cache County Director. He brings years of hands-on expertise in fruit trees, berries, and local growing conditions to every class he teaches.

Benjamin George

Benjamin George, Ph.D.

Professor of Landscape Architecture · USU

An award-winning professor at Utah State University, Ben teaches planting design and researches the use of virtual reality in the landscape. His classes blend creative vision with rigorous design thinking.

Pamela George

Pamela George

Landscape Designer · USU Alumna

A USU Landscape Architecture alumna, Pam has worked on landscape designs throughout Cache Valley. She brings warmth, practicality, and an eye for beautiful, livable outdoor spaces to every workshop.
